Windows Domain User Authentication

When your application's users are logged into a Windows domain, a user can be authenticated using the Windows Domain User authentication option. When using this option, the user can be identified using their Windows user name.

In order to use this option, users must connect via IIS, which must be configured to enable Windows Authentication.

IIS must be connected to the Verj.io Server using an AJP connector, which can be established using the Boncode AJP connector.

In the Windows Domain User settings, you can choose to:
  • Allow Non-Windows Users allow users from outside your Windows domain to access your application
  • Automatically populate roles from AD create a user Role for each Active Directory group the user belongs to
  • Automatically populate credentials from AD create a user Credential for each mapped Active Directory attribute

To populate roles and credentials from Active Directory, an LDAP connection must be configured in the Server Admin App.
