The Verj.io Studio is a Rapid Application Development Environment for professional Web Designers.

Menu bar

The menu bar has a range of actions that can be carried out that apply to the Verj.io Studio itself, for example showing and hiding various utility panels.

When an editor is open additional menu options may be available that apply to that type of editor.

Main toolbar

Save , search , test , deploy  and other frequently used actions can be performed on the current editor from the main toolbar. Some actions may be disabled if the current editor does not support that operation.

On the right hand side of the toolbar is the server selection drop down. The list of servers may include

  • the built-in Embedded Server
  • configured Verj.io On-Premise Servers
  • owned Verj.io Cloud Service Plans

The selected server can be managed  and debugged

Entity tree

Everything you create in the Verj.io Studio is called an Entity. You can create a new Entity using the Entity tree's context menu or by clicking new  in the Main toolbar or Menu bar.

Entites are saved in your current Workspace. A Workspace is just a directory in your file system. You can configure multiple workspaces and switch between them using File > Switch Workspace in the Menu bar.

The top-level Entities in a Workspace must be Project Entities, but after that you can create any structure you require.

Entities can be opened for editing by double-clicking them.

Context menus

Right-click elements of the interface to see the actions that are available in the current context. For example, right-click on a folder in the Entity Tree to create a new Entity in that folder.

Most of these actions can also be performed using the Menu bar or relevant toolbars.

Editor

Design, edit and configure Entites in an Editor. The Editor changes depending on the type of Entity being designed.

When the Verj.io Studio is downloaded for the first time, a special Resource Hub viewer is opened showing useful information. This can be closed and reopened using Help > Resource Hub in the Menu bar.

Status bar

Some informational messages appear here when the Studio is performing some housekeeping routines. For example, when the Studio is building or regenerating the data dictionary for the current Workspace or starting the Embedded server.
