The following describes Verj.io’s suite of products and their relationship to each other.
Verj.io Applications
A Verj.io Application is a generalised term to refer to any application designed and built in the Verj.io Studio and executed in a Verj.io Service Plan or Verj.io On-Premises environment.
Verj.io Studio
The Verj.io Studio is a high-productivity Integrated Development Environment for designing, building, and locally testing Verj.io Applications.
The Verj.io Studio can deploy Verj.io Applications into Verj.io Service Plan and Verj.io On-Premises environments.
It is available for Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac computers.
Verj.io Cloud
The Verj.io Cloud is a purpose-built hosting platform for Verj.io Applications and is partitioned into Verj.io Service Plans.
Verj.io Service Plans
A Verj.io Service Plan:
- Runs a Verj.io Application over a scalable number of load-balanced Verj.io Application Containers.
- Provides secure public access to your application.
- Includes a dedicated database, scheduler, and workflow engine.
- Seamlessly integrates with the Verj.io Studio and Verj.io Gateway.
- Allows SFTP access to the application’s filesystem.
- Creates daily encrypted backups of the application’s filesystem and databases.
- Is isolated from all other Verj.io Service Plans.
- Is configured and monitored using the Verj.io Cloud Portal.
Verj.io Service Plans are subject to our Acceptable Use Policy.
Verj.io Application Container
A Verj.io Application Container is the component of a Verj.io Service Plan that runs the Verj.io Application. All Verj.io Application Containers in any given Verj.io Service Plan are identical.
Verj.io Cloud Portal
The Verj.io Cloud Portal is an online application that enables users to manage, configure and monitor their Verj.io Service Plans.
Verj.io Cloud Portal Availability
The Verj.io Cloud Portal is available 24x7.
Accessing the Verj.io Cloud Portal
The Verj.io Cloud Portal requires separate registration and can be reached online at https://portal.verj.io. There are also links to the Verj.io Cloud Portal in the Resource Hub.

Verj.io On-Premises
Verj.io On-Premises:
- Runs a Verj.io Application.
- Seamlessly integrates with the Verj.io Studio and Verj.io Gateway.
- Includes a scheduler and workflow engine.
- Is configured using its own secure browser-based administration application.
Verj.io On-Premises is available for Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems and can be installed on a:
- Server or a virtual server owned or operated by you.
- Server or a virtual server in a third-party cloud environment operated by you or on your behalf.
Verj.io On-Premises is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy.
Verj.io Gateway
Verj.io Gateway facilitates:
- Single Sign On (SSO) to Verj.io Applications running in remote Verj.io Service Plans and Verj.io On-Premises environments.
- Secure access to private databases and services within a private network owned or operated by you, from Verj.io Applications in remote Verj.io Service Plans and Verj.io On-Premises environments.
Verj.io Gateway is available for Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems and can be installed on a:
- Server or a virtual server owned or operated by you.
- Server or a virtual server in a third-party cloud environment operated by you or on your behalf.
