Service Plan Language

The Service Plan’s default language and format for texts, dates, times and numbers when presenting your application's pages can be set on the Settings page of the Cloud Portal.

Texts

Texts in Verj.io Applications can be translated using the Studio’s Translation tab of the Text Maintenance Panel.

Setting the default language for the Service Plan will cause Texts to be displayed in this language, unless

  • The language parameter has been set on the URL.
  • A Server-side script changes the language.
  • The language has been set automatically depending on the user’s browser preferences.

Note that the language must be configured in the Languages Section of the Service Plan’s Admin Application before they can be used.

Dates, times, and numbers

Each configured language is linked to a formatting language in the Admin Application. This determines how dates, times and numeric fields are displayed to end users and the format in which these fields are entered by users.

For example, US and UK dates are typically displayed and entered differently and this is determined by the formatting language:

  • EN or EN_US: 2/14/2017 (US)
  • EN_GB: 14/02/2017 (UK)
